Rhode Island Sports Heroes, Inc. is a nonprofit Organization out of Coventry, R.I. focused on making a difference in the lives of local area youth through engaging them in Professional Sporting events. Founded in September of 2004 by Lou Tager, Jr., the organization has reached out to hundreds of Rhode Island's less fortunate youth and made a difference in their lives. In 2004, Lou recruited friends who together have focused their efforts and dedication on building this Organization into a vehicle of success for underprivileged youths in the State of Rhode Island.

Mac's Bowl-a-Rama hosted several nights of bowling for RISH's Bowling Night. Many kids had an opportunity to bowl, have some pizza, soft drinks and a lot of FUN. This was a special night hosted by owner Roger, on the right.. RISH would like to thank Roger for his support and enriching then lives of all the kids that participated.

Rhode Island Sports Heroes invited a couple of groups to a recent Celtics/Pistons game on Sunday March 1, 2009 sponsored by the Dunkin Donuts Kidzone. The groups included the Woonsocket Boys Club and the No.Providence Recreation Department basketball players. Everyone enjoyed a courtside practice prior to the game.
